Bruno Fernandes and Marcel Sabitzer received positive player ratings from Manchester United against Everton.

In the Premier League, Man United defeated Everton 2-0, and the players' ratings at Old Trafford are as follows.

United secured a good win

David de Gea

Had next to nothing to do with his hands and could have had an assist with his feet had Antony used his right foot. 7

Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Missed a sitter on the rebound but his performance level was good and he made worthy contributions in the final third. 7

Harry Maguire

Got an early block in to deny Ellis Simms but hesitated when the Everton striker received the ball unattended at 0-0. Otherwise solid. 7

Another commanding performance on an afternoon Everton surprisingly started with a striker. His long ball led to the second goal. 7

Tyrell Malacia

Initially played like a reserve full-back from the Eredivisie. Rash with his defensive decision-making and sloppy in attack. Better in the second half. 6

Scott McTominay

The 'defender' of the front six got the breakthrough with a clinical strike, exploiting space afforded him by Michael Keane. 7

Marcel Sabitzer

Thrived in an advanced role again. United benefited from Sabitzer's pressing and he was a goal threat. Found Fernandes for a fine chance. 8

Antony

Another creative performance, he hit the post and was denied by Jordan Pickford but also wasted two good opportunities. Harshly removed for Anthony Martial. 6

Bruno Fernandes

Stayed in a deep role and was even better than against Brentford. Exploited Everton time and again and United's dominance was underpinned by Fernandes. 8

Jadon Sancho

Did well to find McTominay to put United 1-0 up but did not make the most of it in his favoured role against the ageing Seamus Coleman. 6

Marcus Rashford

Could've sparked a goal glut with an eight-minute one-on-one he struck too close to Pickford. Had other chances but did not score. Assisted Martial. 7

Subs

Anthony Martial

Took an age to get ready when told he was coming on and inevitably scored against Everton again - his eighth goal in 16 against them. 7

Christian Eriksen

Made his return from injury. 6

Fred

Came on for a run-out. 6

Wout Weghorst

Replaced Rashford. 5

Manager

Keeping Fernandes deep was pivotal and Sabitzer was on the same wavelength as United's usual No.10. Hooking Antony was harsh but Martial came on and scored. 8
